I used to make posts like this a lot on Tumblr and I thought incorporating one once a month would be a good addition to this project. So once a month you can expect life updates from me in the form of bullet points.
at the very end of September, I got a kitten named Felix. He fits in so well with our family and he's done wonders for my mental health. I'm a little bit obsessed and somewhat of a crazy cat lady.
I finished my first full month on anti-psychotics and I'm really satisfied with how they're working for me.
I launched this website! I was (am) really nervous about it but it's also one of the most exciting things I've done in a long time and it's a good kind of nervous.
I started a side hustle doing transcribing to bring in some extra money. It got off to a rocky start but cats + kids gotta eat, so I pushed through.
I uninstalled one of my favourite games - Overwatch - because of this & this.
I started sizing up my ears. I'm going from 10mm to 12mm, mostly because I found some cute plugs that don't come smaller than 12mm.
a friend and I got tickets to go see Hayley Kiyoko in February. We've gone to see her together almost every year since 2017 and I'm really excited that I get to go see her again in the winter.
my middle kiddo celebrated his sixth birthday, and I felt old. He told me it was his best birthday ever though, and I almost cried.
on the 25th, I got a second kitten. His name is Flint and he and Felix are quickly becoming best friends.
I got a package from my estranged mother that was full of guilt and shame. That was pretty difficult but I got through it faster than the last time something like this happened.
I started streaming again, sort of. I'm not doing it often or regularly but I've started to get back into it and I think it's something I want to make more time for when I can.
we went trick-or-treating and had a great time. I think taking the kids out on Halloween will end up being one of my favourite memories when the kids are all grown.
my partner and I had a Halloween movie marathon (the original two and the 2018 sequel) when the kids went to bed. I've never had a good time with scary movies, but for some reason I've really loved Halloween & Friday the 13th. I have a thing for inexplicably indestructible murderers, apparently.
I finished InkTober for the first time ever! I didn't do it "the right way" but I am so happy with the art I ended up with and it feels like such an accomplishment.
So tell me, how has your life been lately?
